"Vancouver Special" refers  to a unique kind of housing unit, with a bunch of very recognizable features. It used to be widely deveoped in the Vancouver mainland area (BC) back in the 60´s to 80´s decades.

PROJECT´S DEFINITION:

Based on existing blueprints whole building renovation. Only the exterior facades and ground structures remained unchanged.

Renovation: Replacement of structural beams, redefinition of walls and stairs existing layout, replacement and levelling out of flooring and remaining walls, interior and exterior isolation, drywalling. Door and windows installation.

 

Finishings:

Ground floor:

vinylic -tongue and groove- floor installation, Hardwood maple stairs building up (steps and handrailings). Door finishings and transition stips.

Cabinetry fabrications and/or installation allong with cut to shape/measurements of hardwood counter tops.

Design and fabicration of bench

 

Main floor:

Hardwood -tongue and groove- maple floor installation, Hardwood maple stairs building up (steps and handrailings). Door finishings and transition stips.

Cabinetry fabrications and/or installation allong with cut to shape/measurements of hardwood counter tops.

Design and fabrication of pantry´wardrobe shelves

Forming: 

Construction of fireplace and counter.

Fabrication of garden slabs.

Landscapping:

Ground levelling out, Planters fabrication, and slab installation for landings.
